Diversified Home Builders, Inc., built a home for us in 2001, in Mill Spring, NC. As a long-time building contractor myself in Jupiter, Florida, I was probably perceived at the time by Robert Carney and his partner Alan Dillman as a potential nightmare for them... someone who would constantly be telling them, "This is the way we did it in Florida." Hopefully, that "bad dream" never materialized for them.
Building with Robert and Alan was a great experience for my wife Kay and me. Yes, I had several conversations with them during the course of construction regarding methodology, but their forthright and skilled approach to every issue soon relieved any concerns I had over their abilities. They are both very much perfectionists and their work shows it. When you couple their first-class construction skills with the high level of integrity that they both exhibit, you have a combination that can't be beat.
